I am writing to your good self to bring the matter of poor water supply in our colony to the notice of concerned authorities with the hope that some quick action will be taken to relieve us of our distress.

Water is the only source of relief in such an oppressive weather. However, the harsh reality is water supply is not only poor, but also erratic!

I am writing to your good self to bring the matter of poor water supply in our colony to the notice of concerned authorities with the hope that some quick action will be taken to relieve us of our distress.The mercury has gone beyond 40° Celsius; the heat wave has been very intense. Water is the only source of relief in such an oppressive weather. However, the harsh reality is water supply is not only poor, but also erratic!As a result the residents of Our Colony have been facing severe water shortage for many weeks. Housewives don't have enough water for washing, cooking, cleaning, etc. The residents are forced to make alternative arrangements for water supply by hiring water tankers. We have already written letters to Water Supply Department but to no avail. Meanwhile the Municipality is able to provide permanent water supply, potable water can be supplied to the colony through portable tankers. There is another solution. The colony’s water supply can be temporarily connected to the Nagaon water supply system.

Subject : Telling about the poor conditions of the water supply in our locality

Sir/Madam ,

I am Sanjib a resident of Amulapatty , Nagaon . I am writing this letter to you in order to draw the attention of the higher authorities towards the problems faced by us due to this poor condition of water supply in our locality .

As, you know that a human being on an average needs atleast 10 - 15 litres of water every day . But , in our locality every family is just living with 5 - 10 litres of water . We aren't telling that we are not supplied with water but we are supplied water in poor condition by this I want to say that in our locality every tap is broken so most of the water gets wasted out . Regarding this I had informed to commissioner of GVMC but he didn't tried to resolve this problems . Moreover , many people are also getting health problems because the intake of the water quantity is very less due to this poor conditions .

So, I am hoping that this issue will get printed on some part of your newspaper . This helps us by drawing the attention of higher authorities .
