Solution :-
Given :
A point C lies between two points A and B.
Where, AC = BC
To prove :
AC = ½AB
Proof :
AB = AC + BC
=> AB = AC + AC [∴ AC = BC]
=> AB = 2AC
=> AC = AB/2 = ½AB
Hence,
AC = ½AB proved.
Given :

So we are required to :-
Prove that:- AC= 1/2 AB
For,
=> AC + BC = AB
=> AC + AC = AB [Since, AC = BC]
=> 2 AC = AB
=> AC = 1/2 AB
