Solution :-

Given :
A point C lies between two points A and B.
Where, AC = BC

To prove :
AC = ½AB

Proof :
AB = AC + BC
=> AB = AC + AC [∴ AC = BC]
=> AB = 2AC
=> AC = AB/2 = ½AB

Hence,
AC = ½AB proved.

Given,

AB is a line and C lies between two points A & B.

So we are required to :-

Prove that:- AC= 1/2 AB

For,

=> AC + BC = AB

=> AC + AC = AB [Since, AC = BC]

=> 2 AC = AB

=> AC = 1/2 AB

Hence Proved...
