Let C.P. of 1 article =Rsx

Then, C.P. of 12 articles =Rs12x

Given, S.P of 15 articles = C.P. of 12 articles

So, S.P. of 15 articles= 12x

Since, S.P.<C.P., for 15 articles there is a Loss

So, Loss % = C.P.-S.P./C.P.×100

=15x-12x/15x ×100=3/15×100 =20%

.°.the profit percentage=20%
