For answer, Kindly refer to attachment below.

Here's a Summary of what we did in attachment.

#First of all, We wrote class interval(No. Of plants) in a Tabular form.

#Then, We wrote f_i (No.of Houses) next to Class Interval.

#Then We wrote Class Mark ( x_i )

*CLASS MARK = \frac{UPPER\:CLASS\:LIMIT\:+ LOWER\:CLASS\:LIMIT}{2}

#Then finally a Last column of f_i × x_i

#Then we took \displaystyle {\sum f_i x_i} (Sum of all fixi terms)

#Then Sum of all f_i terms.

Then, Using this formula :

\displaystyle \overline{x} = \frac{\sum f_i x_i}{\sum f_i}

We get, Mean to be 8.1
