Here's a Summary of what we did in attachment.

#First of all, We wrote class interval(No. Of plants) in a Tabular form.

#Then, We wrote $f_i$ (No.of Houses) next to Class Interval.

#Then We wrote Class Mark ($x_i$)

*CLASS MARK = $\frac{UPPER\:CLASS\:LIMIT\:+ LOWER\:CLASS\:LIMIT}{2}$

#Then finally a Last column of $f_i$ × $x_i$

#Then we took $\displaystyle {\sum f_i x_i}$ (Sum of all fixi terms)

#Then Sum of all $f_i$ terms.

Then, Using this formula :

$\displaystyle \overline{x} = \frac{\sum f_i x_i}{\sum f_i}$

We get, Mean to be 8.1
