Answer:

Hii Mate ^_^

I) 1) i) Tornado : A tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air that is in contact with both the surface of the Earth and a cumulonimbus cloud or, in rare cases, the base of a cumulus cloud.

I) 1) ii) Cyclone : A cyclone is a system of winds rotating counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere around a low pressure center. The swirling air rises and cools, creating clouds and precipitation.

I) 2) Two reasons :

       a) Differential heating between the equator and the poles

       b) Rotation of the planet

I) 3) We see the lightning before we hear the thunder because light travels much faster than sound waves.

Speed of Light Waves = 3 × 10 ⁸ m/s

Speed of Sound Waves = 344 m/s

II) 1) Destructions caused by cyclones :

       a) Cyclones generate storm surges.

       b) Cyclones may even damage installations, dwellings, communication systems, trees., etc.

       c) Heavy and prolonged rains due to cyclones may cause river floods and submergence of low lying areas by rain causing loss of life and property.

II) 2) a) If you are at home during a tornado, go to the center of the room. Stay away from corners because they tend to attract debris. Use your arms to protect head and neck.

        b) If you are at work or school during a tornado, Go to the basement or to an inside hallway at the lowest level.

        c) If you are outdoors during a tornado, if possible, get inside a building.

II) 3) See the attachment
