Newton's law of gravitation states that, every particle is in universe attract each other.

Their, magnitude of force is Directly proportional to masses of body and inversaly proportional to square of distance between them.

#Derivation

F ∝ m1 [mass of 1st body]....(1)

F ∝ m2 [mass of 2nd body]....(2)

F ∝ 1/r^2 [distance between m1 & m2]....(3)

Now,
Adding 1,2 & 3

F ∝  (m1 + m2)/r^2

F = G(m1 + m2)/r^2

[where, G is universal gravitation constant.
value of gravitation constant is
6.67 \times {10}^{ - 11} {m}^{3} {kg}^{ - 1} {s}^{ - 2} ]
