Respiration is a biochemical process by which an organism takes oxygen and gives out Carbon Dioxide.

Example :- Inhaling air and Exhaling air

There are 2 types of respiration:-

• Aerobic Respiration
• Anaerobic Respiration

Aerobic Respiration:- It is a type of respiration which takes place when there is presence of oxygen for producing energy.

Where does Aerobic Respiration takes place?

It takes place with plants and animals cell.

Chemical equation for the same:-

Glucose$(C_6H12O_6)$ + Oxygen$(6O_2)$ → Carbon dioxide$(6CO_2)$ + Water$(6H_2O)$ + Energy

Anaerobic Respiration:- It is a type of respiration which takes place when there is absence of oxygen for producing energy.

Respiration is a biological process which help us to synthesize energy (molecules) from the food materials, which have been intake while ingestion.
