pls refer the attachment for better understanding

The patient is sitting at a distance of 2 m from the mirror

The chart of letters is kept at a distance of 3 m from the patient .

The distance of the chart from the mirror

 \implies{distance  \: between \:  chart  \: and  \: patient + distance \:  of  \: mirror \:  from \:  patient</p><p>}

 \implies{2 + 3 = 5m}

hence the image of the chart will be formed at a distance of 5 m on the other side of the mirror

Hence the distance between the patient and the image formed

 \implies{distance \:  between   \: patient \:  and \:  mirror + distance \:  of \:  the  \: image \:  from  \: the  \: mirror }</p><p>

 \implies{2 + 5 = 7m}

the distance between the patient and the image formed = 7 m
