Hey there!

The mechanics of fluids is a branch of the mechanics of continuous media, and this in turn is a branch of physics that studies the movement of fluids and the forces that cause them.

The fluids are divided into gases and liquids, these have a similar characteristic and that is that they are incapable of resisting sharp forces, and this causes that they do not have a definite shape.

The mechanics of fluids can be divided into two important aspects that are:

♣  The Statics of Fluids:

It deals with the fluids at rest, that is, without there being forces that alter their position.

♣ Fluid Dynamics:

It deals with fluids in motion, that is, they are under forces that alter their position.

Hope It Helps You!
