How the word ‘short’ is longer than the word ‘long’ ? ​

All The Words Meanings Were Kept By The People, They Kept the Meanings According To Some Sounds, Like That "Short" this Word Came From "Shut", So May Me Stort Was Kept For Representing The Length, That might depend on the font.

Eg:- The word 'tall' is also shorter than 'short' vertically.
