On a market day everyone in the village is busy as a bee.
In the above-mentioned statement the simile is ‘busy as a bee’. On a market day all villagers are so busy and full of activity that the entire village hums like a bee hive. Hence, the villagers activities are being compare to that of the bees, making ‘busy as a bee’ a simile.
