 \frac{x - 2}{4}  -  \frac{3x + 5}{7}  =  - 3 \\  \\  \frac{(x - 2)(7) - (3x + 5)(4)}{28}  =  - 3 \\  \\  \frac{7x - 14 - 12x - 20}{28}  =  - 3 \\  \\  - 5x - 34 =  - 84 \\  \\ 5x + 34 = 84 \\  \\ 5x = 50 \\  \\ x = 10
