 =  >  {x}^{2}  - 23x + 120 = 0

It is in the form of a quadratic equation whose highest degree is 2.Here,we factorise it to find roots :-

 =  >  {x}^{2}  - 15x - 8x + 120 = 0

 =  > x(x - 15) - 8(x - 15) = 0

 =  > (x - 8)(x - 15) = 0

 =  > x - 8 = 0

 \bold{=  > x = 8}

 =  > x - 15 = 0

 \bold{=  > x  = 15}

Hence,the roots are (15,8).& factors are (x-8)&(x-15)
