we know , that

 {a}^{2}  -  {b}^{2}  = (a + b)(a - b)

so, here...

 {( \sqrt{26}x) }^{2}  -  {y}^{2}

 \implies \: ( \sqrt{26} x + y)( \sqrt{26}  - y)
