 \frac{15}{4} - 7x = 9   \\  \\  \\  \frac{15}{4} - 9 = 7x \\  \\  \\  \frac{15 - 36}{4} = 7x \\  \\  \\  -\frac{21}{4}  = 7x \\  \\  \\  -\frac{21}{28}  = x

-3/4 = x

 \frac{15}{4}  - 7x = 9 \\  =  >  - 7x = 9 -  \frac{15}{4}  \\  =  >  - 7x =  \frac{36 - 15}{4}  \\  =  >  - 7x =  \frac{21}{4}  \\  =  >  - x =  \frac{21}{4 \times 7}  \\  =  > x =  \frac{3}{4}
 =  > x =  \frac{ - 3}{4}
