 \frac{2(3x - 1) - (2x + 1)}{7x - 2}  =  \frac{1}{2}

\dfrac{2(3x \:- \:1) \:-\: (2x \:+\: 1)}{7x - 2} \:= \:\dfrac{1}{2}

• We have to find the value of x.

=> \dfrac{2(3x \:- \:1) \:-\: (2x \:+\: 1)}{7x - 2} \:= \:\dfrac{1}{2}

=> \dfrac{6x \:-\: 2 \:-\: 2x \:+\: 1}{7x\: - \:2} \:= \:\dfrac{1}{2}

=> \dfrac{4x \:-\: 1}{7x \:-\: 2} \:= \:\dfrac{1}{2}

Cross multiply them

=> 2(4x - 1) = 7x - 2

=> 8x - 2 = 7x - 2

=> 8x - 7x = - 2 + 2

=> x = 0

{2(3x -1) - (2x +1)}/(7x -2)= 1/2

(6x -2 -2x -1)/(7x -2)=1/2

4x -3 =( 7x -2)/2

8x -6=7x -2

x = 4
