Solution:-

   = \red{ \frac{2}{7} (x \: - 9) + \frac{x}{3} = 3} \\  \\  \\  \\  \\  =  \frac{2x}{7}  -  \frac{18}{7} +  \frac{x}{3}   = 3 \\  \\  \\  \\  \\   = \frac{2x}{7}  +  \frac{x}{3}  = 3 +  \frac{18}{7}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\   = \frac{6x + 7x}{21}  =  \frac{21 + 18}{7}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\   = \frac{13x}{21}  =  \frac{39}{7}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\  = x =  \frac{21 \times 39}{13 \times 7}  \\  \\  \\  \\  \\  = x = 3 \times 3 \\  \\  \\  \\  \\   \green{\boxed{x = 9}}
