\sf{\pmb{ \frac{3}{4}(x - 2) \:  =  \: x - 1}} \\

 \sf{ \pmb{ \frac{3}{4} \times x \:  \:  -  \frac{3}{ \cancel4_{2} } \times \cancel 2  \:  \:  =  \: x - 1}} \\

 \sf \pmb{ \frac{3x}{4}  -  \frac{3}{2}  \:  = x - 1} \\

Take x on one side and constants on another side.

 \sf \pmb {\frac{3x}{4}  -  \frac{x}{1} \:  =  \:  \frac{3}{2}   -  \frac{1}{1}} \\

 \sf \pmb{ \frac{3x - (4 \times x)}{4}  =  \frac{(3 \times 1) - (2 \times 1)}{2} } \\

 \sf \pmb{ \frac{3x - 4x}{4} =  \frac{3 - 2}{2}} \\

 \sf \pmb{ \frac{ - x}{4}  =  \frac{1}{2}} \\

 \sf \pmb{ { \cancel4}^{2}  \times \frac{1}{ \cancel2} } \\

\sf { \:  - x = 2}
