given \: that \\  \frac{7y}{5}  = y - 4 \\ 7y = 5(y - 4) \\ 7y = 5y - 20 \\ 2y =  - 20 \\ y =  - 10

Answer :

7y/5 = y - 4

7y = 5 × ( y - 4 ) When 5 comes to RHS , it multiplies y - 4

7y = 5y - 20

7y - 5y = - 20

2y = - 20

y = - 20/2

y = ( - 10 )
