Given:

\frac{9x-7}{3x+5} =\frac{3x-4}{x+6}

To Find:

x= ?

Solution:

\frac{9x-7}{3x+5} =\frac{3x-4}{x+6}

               (9x-7)(x+6)= (3x-4)(3x+5)

9x^2-42-7x+54x=9x^2+15x-12x-20

                -42+47x  = 3x-20

                   47x-3x = 42-20

                        44x = 22

                             x = \frac{22}{44}

                             x = \frac{1}{2}

i.e.                         x = 0.5
