y-4/3+3y=4

y-4+9y/3=4

y-4+9y=12

y+9y=16

10y=16

y=8/5

 \frac{y- 4}{3}  + 3y = 4 \\  \frac{y - 4 + 9y}{3}  = 4 \\ 10y - 4 = 4 \times 3 \\ 10y = 12 + 4 \\ 10y = 16 \\ y =  \frac{16}{10}  \\ y =  \frac{8}{5}
