Question Given :

  • ➦ Give mathematical formula of second law of motion ?

Required Solution :

  • F = m × a

Derivation Needed :

  • The rate of change in momentum = m × (v - u) / t

According to Newton second law :

  • F m (v - u) / t

  • ⇢ F = km (v-u) / t

  • ⇢F = kma -------- eq (1)

[ Here a is (v-u) / t ]

Where :

  • ⇢ a = acceleration

  • ⇢ k = constant proportionality

Putting m = 1kg , a = 1 m/s-² :

  • F = k × 1 × 1

  • 1N = K × 1 × 1

  • K = 1

From Equation (1) :

  • F = ma

[ This expression represent 2nd law of motion ]
