Steps :
1) We will check this in form of
If a > 0 , then graph /Parabola is opening upwards (Part 1 )
If a < 0 , then graph / Parabola is opening downward.
2)
We will check about value of Discriminant,
D = b^2 - 4ac
If D > 0 , then roots are real and distinct
=> Graph cuts the x - axis at two distinct points .
If D = 0 , then roots are equal and real.
=> Graph cuts the axis at only one point.
If D < 0, then roots are imaginary.
So , graph will not cut the x axis.
3) Now, here we will check about vert^x of parabola,
V = ( -b/2a , -D/ 4a)
we will just look at sign of these vertex points.
To see in which side, does the parabola lies.
4) We will see Y-intercept of graph by putting x = 0 in given equation which tells us about
where y - axis is cutted by graph.
