a diagonal of a quadrilateral is 40 m long and the perpendicular to it from the opposite corners are 8 metre and 10 respectively find its area ​

Answer:

The area of the quadrilateral can be given as:

Area of traingle ABC + area of traingle ADC

since both the triangles are right triangles

The area of traingle ABC will be

1 \div 2 \times 40 \times 10

200

We got the first area

Now area of tringle ADC

1 \div 2 \times 40 \times 8

160

Thus we got both the areas

Now area of quadrilatral will be

200 + 160 = 360
