Thanks for asking this question .

This is quite interesting .

First let me explain , what is String Theory .

 \sf{ \purple{ \huge { String \: Theory \: - }}}

String Theory , a branch of Quantum Gravity , is a theory in which all the point sized particles are replaced by one dimensional strings .

Now , these strings propagate through space and intersect with each other.

This leads to the vibration of the particles which releases energy .

For example , get us take a point sized particle .

This particle is made out of several molecules .

These molecules are in turn made out of atoms .

Now , let us know take an atom .

This atom consists of the nucleus and protons , neutrons and electrons revolving around it .

Let us take the a proton .

Now , inside that proton , there are further tiny paticles called quarks.

Now , according to conventional theories , there is nothing further in the quark .

This is where the String theory comes into play .

Now , According to String Theory , this quark consists of a string of energy inside it .

So , we can state that every proton , electron and neutron are formed by strings of energy vibrating in different patterns .

Infact , every molecule consists of strings vibrating in various patterns .

Now , suppose that two molecules of different elements interact with each other . So , this leads to the vibration of the strings , leading to several complex patterns being formed .

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Now , coming back to Dimensions -

According to the Quarks theory , space has 11 dimensions .

According to the string theory , space has 26 dimensions .

Dimensions Of Quarks Theory -

It consists of 9 space dimensions , 1 time dimension and 1 energy dimension .

The first dimension is the linear of 1 d dimension .

The second is the 2d of the second dimension .

The third is the 3 d of third dimension .

The first three dimensions are common .

Now , things start to get complicated from the 4 th dimension .

To see how an object in the 4th dimension , refer to the fourth attachment .

This shows the image of a cube in the 4 th dimension .

But however , this should not be exactly how it should look like as you all are viewing the image in a smartphone / computer , which till now can support only 3 dimensions .

If suppose we imagine that the 4th dimension is the time dimension .

Do the 5th dimension would allow us to travel through all the parallel universes that had an equivalent initial coordinates as ours.

The 6th one should leas to us to travel in time in any of these universes.

In the seventh dimension, we can visit any possible world, regardless of of their initial coordinates.

In the 8th dimension , time travel is possible in all the universes .

In the ninth dimension, we can compare all the possible laws of physics in the initial conditions and in the tenth and final dimension, can reach the unimaginable .

Continuation of the previous answer .

The 26 Dimensions of String theory -

Similar to the number of dimensions of of the Quarks or M theory , the string theory had 22 spatial dimensions , two energy dimensions and 2 time dimensions .

However , these dimensions are not accepted by most scientists till date and are quite complex .

Additional Information -

Contradictions to string theory -

Though the string theory is quite popular , these exists several contradictions to it as well. .

Actually , String theory does not lead to any deeper insights with regard to the nature of space and time . And also , the string theory, in any circumstance , can't give a complete definition .

String theory contradicts Newtonian Mechanics .

Thus , many scientists consider string theory to be a failure .

Alternatives to String Theory -

1. Loop Quantum Gravity Theory

2. Strand Model

3. Theoritical Physics
