question :-

An observer 1.2m tall is 28.2m away from the tree . The angle of elevation of the

top of the tree from his eye is 600 . What is the height of the tree

given :-

angle of elevation - 600°

distance - 28.2m

height of observer - 1.2

formula :-

tan D = side opposite to angle D/side adjacent to angle D

solution :-

→tan D = side opposite to angle D/side adjacent to angle D

→ tan D = AE/DE

→ tan 600° = AE/DE

→ 1 = AE/28.2

→ 1 × 28.2 = AE

now,

→ AB = AE + BE

→ AB = 28.2 + 1.2

→ AB = 29.4

therefore

height of the tree is 29.4m
