Basically Natural Things Can't Be Defined But Can Say As

the quantity of rain falling within a given area in a given time.

OR

Rainfall can simply refer to the falling of water droplets from the sky or, most often when used in meteorology, the total amount of rain

OR

fall or shower of rain. the amount of water falling in rain, snow, etc., within a given time and area, usually expressed as a hypothetical depth of coverage: a rainfall of 70 inches a year.
