✔️Good morning everyone present here. Distinguished guests, learned jury, and my dear fellow students, I stand here to expatiate on 'Every home should adopt a pet animal.' And I am going to speak for the motion.

I would like to give the following arguments in favour of my views: Firstly, the ever growing urbanization has reduced the habitat of not only the wild animals, but the domesticated animals also. Dogs, cats, ponies, bulls, cows, oxen, can often be seen roaming here and there in search of either food, water or shelter. Some of them killed on roads while crossing to the other side!

Won't it be better if a home or group of homes adapts these helpless animals? Keeping a bucket or bowl of water for these poor, animals won't even cost a penny to us; feeding such hungry, needy  animals with leftovers won't put any extra financial burden on us! In return, we will receive their unconditional love from them!

Being the most sophisticated and self-reliant species, it is our moral responsibility to help the less privileged creatures. We will feel immense spiritual contentment after helping these innocent creatures of God!

Besides, adopting them will give us the opportunity to know the animal behaviour. They will be of great help to us as well. For example, the adopted dogs will become very loyal to their caretakers; they will guard their houses against suspicious characters at night; cats will keep the houses of their caretakers free of rodents!

So for the above mentioned reasons, every home should adopt a pet animal.

Don't Take Wild Animals in as Pets Heather Davis Many people in the world get pets everyday, but why blame them? There's nothing wrong with having a friend of another species. But, if you want a pet, there is one thing you shouldn't do. You should never take an animalfrom the wild, and keep them as pets. The reasons are pretty clear. I, myself, have learned from self-experience that they are tougher to take care of than your average cat, dog, bird, or fish.
