1. Nitric acid of kept for long time , brown vapours are seen in the bottle and the nitric acid turns yellowish in colour .

2. The apparatus used in laboratory preparation of nitric acid are made of glass completely because the vapour of nitric acid are highly corrosive . They attack rubber , cork , plastics etc.
