FORMULA USED

  • Average run = Total Run/ No. of Days

SOLUTION

Let the avg. after 9 innings be x.

  • x = Runs scored in 9 innings / 9
  • Runs scored in 9 innings = 9x

NOW Given that,

  • When he scored 64 runs in 10th match, his average score increased by 2.
  • x + 2 = (9x+64)/10

Therefore

(9x + 64)/10 = x + 2

9x + 64 = 10x + 20

x = 44

Total runs he score in 10 matches

9x + 64

9*44 + 64

460 runs

Step-by-step explanation:

FORMULA USED

Average run = Total Run/ No. of Days

SOLUTION

Let the avg. after 9 innings be x.

x = Runs scored in 9 innings / 9

Runs scored in 9 innings = 9x

NOW Given that,

When he scored 64 runs in 10th match, his average score increased by 2.

x + 2 = (9x+64)/10

Therefore

(9x + 64)/10 = x + 2

9x + 64 = 10x + 20

x = 44

Total runs he score in 10 matches

9x + 64

9*44 + 64

460 runs
