NCM stands for Non Corporation Movement. this movement was lead by Gandhi ji in order to send back the Britishers. According to Gandhi ji those Britishers were ruling because we the Indian let them which was true. Gandhi ji started an initiative to send back the English men from India by this movement. In this movement, lawyers, doctors, teacher left their jobs. Children left government schools and colleges. And due to this many liquor shops were also picketed.

NCM is the contracted form of Non-cooperation Movement .

Short note

↪ The Non cooperation movement was launched by Mahatma Gandhi when he decided not to cooperate with the British Government .

↪ Earlier Gandhiji used to cooperate with the British however some events greatly changed him and he turned into a non-cooperator .

↪ The main causes of the Non-cooperation movement were :- The Khilafat wrongs , the passing of the Rowlatt Act , and the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre .

↪ Gandhiji launched the Non Cooperation movement in 1920 and withdrew it in 1922 .

↪ After the Chauri Chaura incident , Gandhiji withdrew the movement because he thought that the Indians were leading a violent and not a peaceful movement .

↪ The programs of the event included Swadeshi , boycott , resigning from colleges , hartals , giving away titles and not paying taxes .

↪ It brought about improvement in the society by removing some social evils.

↪ It brought about Hindu Muslim unity and instilled confidence among the people .
