EXPLANATION.

Top end of the ladder touches the wall of a building at a height = 24m.

Other end of the ladder touches the ground = 7m. away from wall.

As we know that,

⇒ Perpendicular = 24m.

⇒ Base = 7m.

As we know that,

Formula of :

Pythagorean theorem.

⇒ H² = P² + B².

⇒ H² = (24)² + (7)².

⇒ H² = 576 + 49.

⇒ H² = 625.

⇒ H = √625.

⇒ H = 25m.

Given :-

The  top end of a ladder touches the wall of a building at a height of 24m. and the other end of the ladder touches the ground 7m

To Find :-

Length of ladder

Solution :-

According to the pythagoras theorem

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Height²

H² = (7)² + (24)²

H² = 49 + 576

H² = 625

H = √625

H = 25

Hence

Length is 25 m
