Answer:

Pancreatic juices contains:

1. Pancreatic α - amylase(amylopsin) - Acts on carbohydrates and converts into disaccharides.

2. Pancreatic Proteases:

     i) Trypsinogen - Trypsinogen is activated by an enzyme Enterokinase (secreted by the duodenum wall) to trypsin.

ii) Chymotrypsinogen - Inactive enzymes, which is activated to chymotrypsin.

iii) Procarboxypeptidase - Inactive enzyme which is converted into carboxypeptidase by the action of trypsin.

  • Trypsin activates other proteases of Pancreatic juice like chymotrypsinogen, procarboxypeptidase, proelastase etc.
  • Trypsin and chymotrypsins are endopeptidase.
  • Trypsin with the help of chymotrypsin helps in break down of Proteins into large peptides.
  • Carboxypeptidases acts on large peptides and convert it into small peptides(Dipeptides)

3. Fat digesting enzymes (Steapsin):

  • Pancreatic lipases - Converts glycerides into diglycerides
  • Cholesterol esterase - Digests cholesterol and esters
  • Phospholipase - Digests phopholipids

4. Nucleases - (DNAase sand RNAase) - Breaks Nucleic acids into Nucleotides.
