These might be a liquid tissue like blood or a solid tissue like bone.

In humans, tissues are of 4 types.

Epithelial

⇒ Connective

⇒ Muscular

⇒ Nervous

In plants, tissues are of 2 types

⇒ Meristems

⇒ Permanent

And these are sub divided into some other categories according to their shape, structure, function.
