→ Taxi charges in a city consist of fixed charges and th remaining depending upon the distance travelled in km. If a person travels 70 km, he pays ₹ 1130 and for travelling 100 km, he pays ₹ 1550. Find the fixed charges and the rate per km.

converting the given data into equations,

x+10y=68

x+15y=98

solving the above two equations, we get,

x=8

y=6

Therefore,

fixed charge is 8

rate per km is 6
