The resistance of a body to changes in its momentum. Because of inertia, a body at rest remains at rest, and a body in motion continues moving in a straight line and at a constant speed, unless a force is applied to it.

dear sis♥️

Inertia is the natural tendency of an object to resist a change in its state of motion or of rest.

We can say that the mass of a body is a measure of its inertia..

We can further translate the idea of inertia to the inertia of motion, the inertia of rest and inertia of direction..

These in turn.. signify that a body in motion wants to remain in state of motion..a body in rest wants to stay in the state of rest and a body travelling in a certain direction has the tendency to continue to move in the same direction respectively, Any change in any of these states is resisted by the body..

I hope I have resolved your query.

Thank you for choosing brainly... XD ☠️♥️☠️☺️☺️
