age of father = Y

given X + Y = 100

Y = 100 - X

When Anup will be old as father ,

his age = 100 - X

Difference between the ages

( 100 - X ) - X = 100 - 2X

Age of Anuj when Anup's age is fathers age

age = (100 - X) / 5

Age of Anuj when

Anup's age when he is in fathers age

, = [(100 - X )/5] + 100 - 2X

since this age is 8 years more than Anup's age ,

X + 8 = [( 100 - X )/5] + 100 - 2X

X + 8 = ( 100 - X + 500 - 10 X ) / 5

5X + 40 = 600 - 11 X

16 X = 560

X = 35 Years

Age of anup = 35 years

age of father = 65 years
