If we could look at the Moon through the Hubble Space Telescope, for which D is 2,400 mm (94.5 inches), we'd be able to discern surface features as small as 0.05 arcsecond. When the Moon is closest to Earth, only 356,000 kilometers (221,000 miles) away, 0.05 arcsecond corresponds to about 85 meters (280 feet).

It wasnt in ny or over a subway grate. I was downtown 1 night a club that was 3 floors. My friends & i were up there & it was so crowded we got pushed to the back where there were big windows. I had just bought a new skirt for that night and b4 i even realized it a big crowd of people had gathered around on the street below looking up.
3.)No, most definitely not. There have been fourteen astronauts who were killed in flight - the seven person crews of Challenger and Columbia in 1986 and 2003 respectively. Three other astronauts died during a pre-launch test in 1967 — Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee — the crew of Apollo 1.

(There were other astronauts who died before they could go up. Three were in T-38 crashes: Ted Freeman was killed when a goose struck his canopy as he was coming in to land; he ejected but was too low for the parachute to fully open. Charlie Basset and Elliot See were on the way to St. Louis to work in the simulator and see their capsule — Gemini 9 - which was being built there at the McDonald plant next to the airport. astronauts.)
Not exactly what was asked, but interesting trivia - kind of as a joke, but the Apollo 11 astronauts filled out a customs form when they returned from the moon.
