Photosynthesis Is the Reaction taking Place in the Presence of sunlight. Light Is Very Important For Photosynthesis.

Know More about Photosynthesis :-

The Process By which Green plants Use Energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide And water into sugars(glucose) in the presence of green-coloured pigment ( called chlorophyll ) is called Photosynthesis.

photosynthesis can be represented as the following word equation:-

CO2+H2O light =Glucose & O2

Chlorophyll ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎

Raw materials required For Photosynthesis Are :-

Carbon dioxide :- The Main source Of carbon Dioxide for plants Is the atmosphere. The Plants Take in CO2 Through the stomata present on the leaves

Water :- Plants absorb water from the Soil through the Root hair. this water is then transported Up to the Stem and leaves through Xylem Vessels.

Light :- Light is very important for photosynthesis. Plants Can Carry Our Photosynthesis even in Artificial Light however, it should be of Good Intensity.

Chlorophyll :- Chlorophyll Is Necessary For Photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is Present in green coloured Plastids Called Chloroplasts.

Photosynthesis Is not A simple one Step Process. it Involves Many steps:-

✿First of All, Water taken up through the Root system and Carbon Dioxide from the Atmosphere Reaches the leaves.

✿Light is Absorbed by chlorophyll, which Spilts water And Oxygen is Released.this reaction depends on sunlight from Activation Energy. This takes place in the Thylakoids of the Chloroplasts

✿In next step, Carbon Dioxide Spilts. The carbon So obtained is used To make sugars. this reaction does not require light energy. it takes place in stroma

✿Sugar Formed During Photosynthesis. simple sugars are formed Which then Combine to form complex Sugars. glucose and fructose formed as a result of photosynthesis travel to the other parts of the plant.
