1. Alkali metals have low ionization enthalpy values. Hence they readily lose their valence electrons and are highly reactive. Hence in nature they are not found in nature.

2.Sodium atoms due to being smaller in size have high ionization energy and thus, it can't loose electrons easily and is more stable and less reactive. Hence , from it is clear that sodium is less reactive than potassium.

3. Be and Mg have high atomic size and high ionization energies when compared to other alkali earth metals. The energy of flane is not sufficient to excite the electrons of Be and Mg to higher energy level. Hence Be and Mg do not give any colour in flame.
