1.Conduction occurs when a substance is heated, particles will gain more energy, and vibrate more. These molecules then bump into nearby particles and transfer some of their energy to them. This then continues and passes the energy from the hot end down to the colder end of the substance.

2.Metals are a good conductor of heat.

Metals are a good conductor of heat. This can be experimentally proved by the following activity:

Metals are a good conductor of heat. This can be experimentally proved by the following activity:Take a glass rod, a silver spoon and a plastic scale. Dip all three in a beaker containing boiling water. Leave the setup for 2-3 mins and touch each of the three, the glass rod, the silver spoon and the plastic scale. You would feel that only the silver spoon is hot.

3. Convection occurs when particles with a lot of heat energy in a liquid or gas move and take the place of particles with less heat energy. Heat energy is transferred from hot places to cooler places by convection.

Answer 1

Explanation:

Answer -2

The three processes of heat transfer are - conduction, convection and radiation.

Conduction - In this process, heat is transferred through particle to another particle, in the direction of fall of temperature, without any actual transfer of the particles.

Convection - In this process, heat is transferred through the actual movement of particles. Particles of a region become hot and move to another region and cold particles come to this region to get the heat.
