CDS Selection Process comprises of two stages i.e. Written test and SSB Interview round. In the first stage (written exam), candidates have to attempt three papers for selection in IMA, INA, and AFA whereas OTA candidates have to attempt only 2 papers.

CDS Selection Process includes written exam and SSB Interview. All registered candidates are required to first appear for written exam. Candidates qualifying the written exam are called for SSB Interview. Final selection of candidates is done based on the combined performance in the written exam and SSB Interview.

CDS is conducted to select eligible candidates in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy, Officers’ Training Academy and Indian Naval Academy
