Fencing is always done for the boundary of a place .

Boundary is the outer part or the edges and sides of a shape consisting some area inside it .

The same is followed by Perimeter .

Perimeter :

The boundary or outer edge of any shape .

Here fencing needs to be done on the boundary of a rectangular garden with length of 17m and breadth or width of 24m

We know the formula for Perimeter of rectangle as :

2(length + breadth)

Putting up the values :

➜ 2 ( 17 + 24)

➜ 2(41)

➜ 2 × 41

➜ 82 cm

The perimeter is 82 cm so ; 82cm of fence is necessary for fencing .
