ii)Alsi Soda acid fire extinguishers contain a mixture of H2SO4 and baking soda. These react to release CO2 which forms a layer over the burning substance and cuts the supply of oxygen to the fire.

iii)Simply heat baking soda or sodium bicarbonate in a 200 F oven for about an hour. ... While sodium carbonate is fairly stable, it slowly decomposes in dry air to form sodium oxide and carbon dioxide. The decomposition reaction can be accelerated by heating the washing soda to 851 C (1124 K).
