Hermione fixed a triangular tent of height 3m. She tied the ends of the tents to pegs fixed on the ground. What is the length of the tent from point A to point B if the distance between point A and B is 8 cm?

(\bf{Hint \: 1} : Assume that the sides of the tent are straight lines)

(\bf{Hint \: 2} : Use pythagorean theorem)

If you want to then only draw the figure.

\huge\mathcal{Solution:- }

<b>
Distance b/w both peg = 8cm.

=> Length of Mid Point from 1 peg = 4cm.

By Pythagoras Theorem,

length \: of \: peg \: from \: tent =  \sqrt{ {3}^{2} +  {4}^{2}  }  \\  \\  =  >  {x} =  \sqrt{9 + 16}  \\  \\  =  > x =  \sqrt{25}  \\  \\  =  > x = 5cm

Hence, The length of the tent from point A to point B is 5cm.

elo \: dear \:

distance \: between \: both \: = 8cm \\ lenght \: of \: mid \: point \: from \: 1peg \: = 4cm \\ \\ \\ by \: pythagoras \: theorem \\ lenght \: of \: peg \: from \: tent
hopes ans will help uh ❤
