Explanation:

Question :

  • Doctor Has Prescribed a lens having power + 1.5D . What will be the focal length of the Lence ? What is the type of the lens and what must be the defect of vision

given :

  • lens having power = 1.5D

to find :

  • what must be the defect of vision = ?

  • what must be the defect of vision = ?

solution :

  • lens of power = +1 .5 D

then ,

  • lens of focal length,

  • focal = 1/p = +1/1.5 = +0.67

thus ,

  • power of the lens is (+ve), the lens is converging.

\huge\mathcal\colorbox{pink}{{\color{b}{To \ Find}}}

  • The lens..
  • The defect of vision..

\huge\mathcal\colorbox{magenta}{{\color{b}{Solution}}}

 \textsf{Given:}

Power of lens, P=+1.5 D

 \textsf{Concept:}

Eye Defect and its.

 \textsf{Correction:}

Hypermetropia or farsightedness..

Now, focal length of lens,

f= \dfrac{1}{P} = \dfrac{1}{1.5}=0.67 m

Since, the focal length is positive, the lens prescribes for correction is convex lens.. Thus, the defect of fission is farsightedness or hypermetropia..
