First of all, fill the 3-cup measuring container.

Now, pour that 3 cup milk into 5 cup container.

Now, 5 cup container is having 3cup milk and it is having space of 2 more cup of milk.

Again, fill the milk in 3cup container.

Now, from the 3 cup container, pour it in 5 cup container.

As 5 cup container is having only the space of 2 cup milk left inside it. So, 2 cup of milk fill he filled in it.

Earlier, 3 cup container was having 3 cup milk, but now 2 cup milk is removed.

So, 1 cup of milk is remained inside it.

We are successful in measuring 1cup of milk by a three-cup measuring container and a five-cup container.

Hope it may help you.
