Question :-

Water is pouring into a cuboidal reservoir at the rate of 60 litres per minute. If the volume of reservoir is 108m³. Find the number of hours it will take to fill the reservoir.

Answer :-

Volume of cuboidal tank, V = 108 m³

1 m³ = 1000litres

Hence,

V = 108×1000

= 108000 litres

Rate of water flow , Q = 60 litres/minutes

Hence,

Time taken to fill the tank = V/Q

= 108000/60

= 1800 minutes

= 30 hours

In 30 hours it will take to fill the reservoir.

Water is pouring into a cuboidal reservoir at the rate of 60 litres per minute. If the volume of reservoir is 108m³. Find the number of hours it will take to fill the reservoir.

 \huge \colorbox{plum}{Solution}

Volume of reservoir =108 m³

Rate of pouring water in it = 60L/m

 \frac{60}{1000} m3/hour

 \frac{60 \times 60}{1000} water \: filled \: in \: reservoir \\ will \: take = 1hour \\  {1m}^{3} water \: filled \: in \: reservoir \: will \\ take =  \frac{1000}{60 \times 60}

 {108m}^{3}  \: water \: filled \: in \: reservoir \\ will \: take =  \frac{108 \times 1000}{60 \times 60} hours \\  =  \pink3 \pink0 \:  {\pink{hours}}
