Answer: Not always

Explanation: the velocity is also uniform in circular motion but still the particle is not moving in a straight line so it is not necessary that if the particle is moving with uniform velocity it is in straight line.

It is necessary that particle should move in a straight line for achieving uniform velocity. This is because moving in circular path will result in continuous change in direction leading to accelarated motion which has non uniform velocity.
