Badminton is one of the the most played games in the world. It is believed that badminton was originated two thousand years back in India where it was known as "Poona" . It was played mostly in ancient India, China and Greece.

It is the fastest racket game in the world. It is played with racket and shuttlecock . The shuttlecock is made from goose feathers pushed into a small piece of cork. The badminton players require a high level of skill to perform various activities during the game.It can be played by both males and females of any age or any level.

The aim of the player while playing the game is to hit the shuttlecock over the net towards the other player.

If the player or the pair is unable to hit it back properly before it falls on the floor, then one point is losted by them.

\huge{\mathbf{\red{Introduction:-}}}

Games and sports are an part of life. Games may be indoor or outdoor both stimulate physical and mental growth of a person. Games are a form of physical activities that strengthen physical growth. Games are required for an overall development of a child. Games inculcate team spirit and a responsible behaviour in an individual.

\huge{\mathbf{\red{Concept:-}}}

Badminton is a racquet sport played using recquets to hit a shuttlecock across the net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common form of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "double" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. Points are scored by striking the shuttlecock with the recquet and landing it within the opposite side's half of the court.

Each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. Play ends once the shuttlecock has struck the floor or if a fault been called by the umpire, service judge, or (in their absence) the opposing side.

The shuttlecock is feathered or (informal matches) plastic projectile which flies differently from the balls used in many other sports. In particular, the feathers create much higher drag, causing the shuttlecock to decelerate more rapidly. Shuttlecocks also have a high top speed compared to the ball in other racquet sports.
